Upma Koul

Upma Koul has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Upma currently serves as a Board Member at the Long Duration Energy Storage Council (LDES Council) since 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Vice President, Energy Storage at Sumitomo SHI FW starting from 2021.

From 2003 to 2021, Upma worked at Wärtsilä Energy in various roles, including Director of Sales for Energy Storage in Europe, Regional Director for East and South Africa, Director of Sales in the Middle East, Business Development Manager in the Middle East, and Manager of Sales Support in the Middle East.

Before joining Wärtsilä Energy, Upma worked at Wärtsilä Energy from 1996 to 2003, initially as an Engineer Sales Support in India and later as Chief Design Engineer in India.

Prior to joining Wärtsilä Energy, Upma worked as a Design Engineer at the Desein Indure Group of Companies in India from 1993 to 1996.
