Jan Andersson

Jan Andersson has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Currently, they serve as the Director of Global Market Development at Sumitomo SHI FW, where they lead a team in opening new markets and creating business opportunities for their Liquid Air Energy Storage solution. Prior to this role, Jan worked at Wärtsilä for 14 years, holding various positions in market development and management. Jan served as the General Manager, leading a team of Market Development experts in Africa and Europe. Jan also worked as a Market Development Manager, Senior Analyst, and Senior Power System Analyst during their tenure at Wärtsilä. Notably, they contributed to market development in Ukraine, resulting in significant cooperation with the national TSO and plans for a large-scale investment. Jan also had responsibilities in developing Wärtsilä's value proposition at project and national levels. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Development Engineer at KWH Pipe Ltd and as a Trainee at KWH Plast.

Jan Andersson completed their education with a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Chemical Engineering and Industrial Management from Åbo Akademi University, which they attended from 2003 to 2008. Before that, they were a student at Jakobstads Gymnasium from 1999 to 2002. In addition, they obtained the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification from the Project Management Institute in November 2010.
