Jeffrey Thinnes has a diverse work experience that spans several industries and roles. Jeffrey is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of SummaForte, a company that focuses on combining CBD, minor cannabinoids, and natural nutrients to improve customer health and performance. Prior to this, they were the Founder and CEO of JTI, Inc. since 1999. In 2009, they founded the Breakthrough Art Organization and served as its President. Jeffrey also worked as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University Maurer School of Law from 2016 to 2019. Jeffrey is the Founder and Charter President of the Rotary Club of Great Falls, Virginia, and also founded the Rotary Club of Great Falls Foundation, Inc. in 2012. Additionally, they served as Vice President and Interim Managing Director for Central Europe at Manugistics, GmbH, achieving profitable performance in the region. Before that, they were the Vice President of Trade & Investment at Daimler-Benz. Jeffrey has also had roles as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University and as a Co-Founder and Board Member of Spirit of HOPE. Jeffrey held the position of Vice President at the Aspen Institute from 1993 to 1995.
Jeffrey Thinnes attended Cathedral High School for their secondary education. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science at the University of Notre Dame from 1975 to 1979. Following their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at Indiana University Bloomington, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from 1980 to 1984. After completing their J.D., Thinnes furthered their education at the Universität des Saarlandes, where they pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M) specializing in European Law from 1984 to 1985. Lastly, Thinnes attended Harvard University from 1989 to 1990, where they acquired a Master of Public Affairs (MPA) degree focused on International Public Affairs.
