Michael Easterly is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in econometric modeling and quantitative research, currently serving as a Senior Economist at Summit Consulting, LLC since August 2018. Prior to this role, Michael worked on a project investigating disparities in property tax assessments at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and served as a Research Consultant for the Project on Federal Credit Programs, where contributions included a comprehensive white paper on federal credit program operations. Earlier experience includes crafting briefing memoranda at Compass Lexecon and conducting investigations for the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission, focusing on significant financial institutions. Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Economics from The Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. in History from UCLA, complemented by a BA in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
