James Armstrong

Director Of Legal Services at Summit County Developmental Disabilities Board

James Armstrong has a diverse and extensive work experience. James started their career in 1992 as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney at the Summit County Prosecutor's Office. From 1999 to 2002, they worked as a Magistrate at the Summit County Juvenile Court. Subsequently, they became a Partner at Leipply and Armstrong in 2003, where they remained until their most recent role as Director of Legal Services at Summit County Developmental Disabilities Board. In between these positions, James served as the Mayor of Munroe Falls from 2016 to 2022.

James Armstrong attended the University of Louisville from 1983 to 1985, where they studied Political Science and Government. James then transferred to The University of Akron and completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government from 1985 to 1987. Following that, they attended the University of Dayton School of Law and obtained their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from 1987 to 1990. In 1990, they also participated in the Florida State College of Law Summer Program in Law at St. Edmund Hall, University of Oxford, however, the degree obtained during this program is not specified.
