Mike Wheatley

Mike Wheatley serves as the Vice President of Procurement at Summit Materials since January 2024. Previously, Mike held the position of Procurement Director - Americas at Synthomer from April 2020 to April 2023, where Mike managed a significant annual spend of $1.2 billion for the Americas and the newly acquired adhesives business. Prior roles include Global Sourcing Director and Strategic Sourcing Director at OMNOVA Solutions, where Mike oversaw a $950 million annual budget and a team of 23 employees, as well as Director of Purchasing at Ferro Corporation, leading a 35-member procurement organization. Mike's early career includes strategic sourcing and purchasing roles at Akzo Nobel Decorative Coatings, Edgepark, and LTV Steel. Academically, Mike holds a Master's in Business Administration with a focus on Banking and Finance from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
