Shelby Nease's work experience begins in 2014 as an Engineering Intern at Lobar Associates, where they worked on civil engineering jobs and collaborated with sitting PE for bridge projects and new constructions. In 2015, they worked as a designer for Dominion Virginia Power during their internship. As an Engineering Technician, they designed outside plant routes for fiber optic installations and worked on Dominion Virginia Power's Strategic Underground Program at Team Fishel from 2016 to 2017. Shelby then worked as an Assistant Project Manager, where they led the design process for the fiber project and managed their professional services team. In 2018, they were promoted to Project Manager, where they acquired traditional management job duties while becoming a primary contact for multiple projects. In 2021, they became Division Manager managing engineering in Virginia, working with multiple area and other division managers to maintain and build customer relations and obtain and sustain broader contracts. In 2022, Shelby started working with Meta as the DEC Connectivity Construction Manager, where they were responsible for maintaining schedules, ordering materials and managing finances for network connectivity scopes at the Henrico data center campuses, among other roles. In 2023, they began working at SummitIG as a Program Manager.
Shelby Nease attended Penn State University from 2012 to 2016, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree, although the field of study is unspecified. Nease is currently in the process of obtaining a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification through BICSI.
