Chief Civil Engineer at Sun Cable

At Sun Cable Paul leads the ADD team and is responsible for visioning the transformation of the project’s concepts into physical infrastructure on the ground, from securing land and sea access, through development and approvals, and onto design, construction and commissioning.

Paul is a remote area specialist having successfully delivered projects across Australia from the Northern Territory to remote Aboriginal communities: to the Pacific including PNG, Tonga, Fiji and Tuvalu; as well as Africa for UN humanitarian operations and war zones in Iraq and Kuwait. Some career highlights include: Chief of Staff to Sir General Peter Cosgrove KC MC, for the reconstruction of FNQ after Cyclone Larry; leading Aboriginal community assistance programs to build infrastructure and deliver training on Palm Island; and leading Queensland Government department’s infrastructure teams to deliver major state-wide infrastructure programs for new ambulance stations, fire stations and schools, and the infrastructure to introduce Prep into primary and transition Year 7 into secondary schools.

Paul is a successful Senior Executive and Civil Engineer, with an honours degree and masters in project management and procurement, and 30 years of experience in the Australian Army, Government and Industry.
