Simeon Thompson - Meng

Simeon Thompson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Simeon currently serves as the Finance Director Specialties & Advanced Materials at Sun Chemical. Prior to that, they held the position of Finance Director - Global Specialty Inks at the same company.

Before joining Sun Chemical, Thompson worked at Gama Aviation as the Finance Director - Europe, where they were responsible for P&L, balance sheet, and cash management. Simeon also served as part of the executive leadership team, partnering with managing directors for various European businesses.

Thompson's previous experience includes roles at Berendsen, where they served as the Finance Director - Healthcare Business Line, the Program Director for Shared Services, and the Director of Finance, Group Procurement and Supply Chain. Simeon also worked as the Finance Director at Berendsen Gothenburg and Head of Internal Audit.

Before their time at Berendsen, Thompson worked at Deloitte UK as a Manager, where they managed client relationships and delivered professional services for various global PLCs and businesses. Simeon also gained experience as a management and assurance consultant at Arthur Andersen & Co.

Thompson holds an MEng and an MBA, and they are a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Simeon'swork experience showcases their expertise in finance, leadership, and strategic planning.

Simeon Thompson has a strong educational background in accounting, engineering, and business. Simeon obtained their MEng degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering with Management from the University of Exeter in 2000. Simeon then pursued a career in accounting and became a Chartered Accountant (ACA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) in 2003. Continuing their accounting education, Simeon became a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA) in 2013.

In 2008, Simeon took a break from accounting and pursued an Executive MBA from Imperial College London, where they gained knowledge and skills in business and management. Simeon also expanded their knowledge in sustainable business strategy through a course at Harvard Business School Online in 2020. Additionally, Simeon holds certifications in Lean Six Sigma, including a Black Belt (ICBB) qualification from Process Management International (PMI) in 2017, and Green Belt (ICGB) and Yellow Belt (ICYB) qualifications from PMI in 2016.
