Mike Babul has a diverse professional background, spanning both education and military leadership. Babul served as a teacher for fifth grade and as the boys varsity basketball coach at North Attleboro Public Schools' Early Learning Center from September 1971 to April 2005. Following this, Babul was a Commander in the US Army, with roles at Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point, NC, from July 2005 to April 2009, and prior command positions from January 2000 to April 2009. Babul has been an Independent Golf Advocate at Recreation Centers of Sun City since April 2009, enjoying retirement. Educational qualifications include a Master of Strategic Studies from the Army War College, a Master of Education from Providence College, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Rhode Island College.
