Michael Keenan

Michael Keenan, CPA has a diverse and extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Michael started their career at KPMG as a Senior Audit Associate in 2007 and worked in this role until 2009. Michael then joined KPMG Advisory as a Senior Associate and worked there until 2012. In 2012, they were promoted to the position of Manager at KPMG US and held this role until 2014.

In 2014, Michael joined Covisint as the Assistant Controller and International Finance and Accounting Manager. Michael worked in this position for two years until 2016 when they moved to Sun Communities & Sun RV Resorts. At Sun Communities, they initially served as the Assistant Controller and later transitioned to the role of Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis in April 2022.

Throughout their career, Michael Keenan has demonstrated their expertise in financial planning analysis, accounting management, and international finance. Their experience at top organizations like KPMG and Covisint has equipped him with a strong foundation in auditing and advisory services.

Michael Keenan, CPA obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Michigan State University, where they studied from 2001 to 2006. In 2004-2005, they also pursued a Study Abroad program in Accounting at UNSW. Following their undergraduate degree, they completed a Master of Arts in Accounting at Oakland University from 2006 to 2007. In 2011, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Michigan Department of Licensing.
