Ashnie Muthusamy has a strong background in talent management and transformation. Ashnie has held various roles throughout their career, starting as an Assessment Manager at Spoornet from 1996 to 2000. Ashnie then joined Nedbank as the Head of Talent Management, where they implemented career and succession management strategies across the organization. In 2007, they moved to Absa as a Senior HR Manager, specializing in talent management and executive succession planning. Most recently, they have been working at Sun International, where they have held several roles, including Group Manager of Talent, Transformation, and Change, Group Talent Manager, and currently serves as the Head of Talent, Transformation, and Learning & Development. In their current position at Sun International, Ashnie is responsible for setting the transformation and talent management strategies for the organization, as well as overseeing employee wellness and corporate social investment initiatives.

Ashnie Muthusamy has a diverse education history. Ashnie obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 1994, followed by an Honours Degree in Psychology from the same university in 1995. In 1998, they pursued a Masters Diploma in HR Management from the University of Johannesburg. In 1999, they obtained a degree as an NLP master practitioner from the International Neurolinguistic Programming Teachers Association. In 2005, they completed the Management Development Programme from Stellenbosch Business School. From 2007 to 2009, they pursued an MPhil in Psychology and Leadership from the University of Johannesburg. In 2010, they obtained a degree in Integral Coaching from the University of Cape Town. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications in various fields such as customer advocacy (LinkedIn), access bars (Access Consciousness), integrated enneagram practitioner (Integrative Enneagram Solutions), women in leadership (University of Stellenbosch Business School), and more.
