Mike Schofield

Mike Schofield is the current VP, Chief Actuary & Chief Risk Officer at Sun Life Financial. Mike has held this position since May of 2016. Prior to that, they were the VP of Canadian Asset-Liability Management from July 2014 to May 2016. In this role, they led a team of 40 that provided value enhancing investment strategies and asset liability management services to the $75 billion balance sheet.

Mike has been with Sun Life Financial since July of 2014. Mike is a team-oriented leader with a proven track record in developing and implementing actuarial processes. Mike is highly skilled in financial reporting, risk management, strategic planning, and regulatory reporting.

Mike Schofield has a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto.
