Jim Hastings

Jim Hastings has a diverse work experience in the field of research and development, spanning over 30 years. Currently, they serve as the Senior Director of Research & Development at Sun-Maid Growers of California since May 2022.

Prior to their current role, Jim worked at ofi as the Director of R&D from March 2015 to May 2022. Before that, they held various positions at Kerry, including R&D Manager-Cereal from December 2008 to March 2015, Product Optimization Manager from September 2009 to January 2014, R&D Manager-Prepared Foods from July 2005 to December 2008, and Food Scientist from August 2003 to July 2005.

Their earlier work experience includes being a Sr. Food Technologist at Grecian Delight Foods from 2002 to 2003 and a Food Technologist at Vanee Foods Company from 1998 to 2002.

Additionally, Jim served as a Sergeant in the Army National Guard from September 1993 to December 2001.

Jim Hastings has a Master's degree in Food Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Jim also holds a Bachelor's degree in Food Science from the same university. In addition to their degrees, Jim has obtained the certification in "Leading Innovative Change" from UC Berkeley Executive Education in December 2019.
