Kevin Barber

Mr. Barber has over 20 years as a lender, investor, operator and board member in the technology and healthcare arenas. In the last ten years he has sourced, structured and managed over $200 million in private credit and commercial loans to growth stage technology and healthcare companies. Prior to Sun Mountain, Mr. Barber was a Managing Director at Columbia Pacific Advisors, a Seattle-based alternative investment management firm. At Columbia Pacific Advisors, Mr. Barber co-managed Union Bay Capital Partners I, LLC, a private credit fund dedicated to providing growth capital loans to expansion stage technology, healthcare and business services companies. Prior to Columbia Pacific Advisors, Mr. Barber was a Senior Vice President at Comerica Bank in their Technology and Life Sciences practice where he provided growth capital and acquisition financing for technology companies throughout the western United States. Earlier in his career, Mr. Barber served as a General Partner at Northwest Venture Associates, a venture capital firm focused on growth capital investments in the Pacific Northwest. Mr. Barber served in corporate finance roles at Visio Software (sold to Microsoft) and Hewlett Packard. Mr. Barber holds an MBA from the University of Washington and a BA in Business Administration from Seattle University.
