Reed Soehnel

Reed Soehnel is the CFO and CCO at Sun Mountain Capital. Reed Soehnel joined Sun Mountain Capital in 2015 and currently oversees the firm’s accounting operations, financial reporting and regulatory compliance program. He is also an active member of the firm’s investment team, with a focus on private lending. Reed is a Board Member for Reading Quest, a Santa Fe-based not-for-profit focused on improving childhood literacy. Prior to joining Sun Mountain, he spent time as a financial statement auditor with both Deloitte & Touche and KPMG, where his clients represented a variety of industries, including financial services. Reed holds a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy degree from Saginaw Valley State University, is a CFA® Charterholder and Certified Public Accountant in New Mexico.
