Dr. Suyog Mehta

Dr. Suyog Mehta has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Dr. Suyog is currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Head of Medical Affairs and Clinical Research for India and Emerging Markets at SUN PHARMA, a role they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they were the Vice President and Head of Medical Affairs and Clinical Research for the same region at the same company from 2022 to 2023.

Before joining SUN PHARMA, Dr. Mehta worked at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories from 2015 to 2020 as the Senior Director and Head of Medical Affairs for India. Dr. Suyog was also associated with Janssen, Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson India, where they held various positions from 2012 to 2015, including Associate Director of Medical Affairs and General Medical Affairs Manager.

Dr. Mehta has also worked at Eisai from 2005 to 2012, where they held multiple roles, including General Manager of Medical & Regulatory Affairs and Regional Medical Director CNS. Dr. Suyog began their career at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson in 2004 as an Assistant Manager in Medical Services.

Their earlier experience includes positions at Unichem Laboratories Limited, MACLEODS PHARMACEUTICALS LTD., and Dr. V.M. Medical College.

Throughout their career, Dr. Mehta has demonstrated expertise in leading teams, shaping therapy strategies, stakeholder management, developing medical education programs, ensuring compliance, and generating evidence for new and mature brands.

Dr. Suyog Mehta has a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in Pharmacology & Therapeutics from Government Medical College, Miraj, MS, India, which they obtained from 1997 to 1999. Dr. Suyog also holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) degree in Medicine from Dr. V.M. Medical College, Solapur, MS, India, which they completed from 1991 to 1995. Prior to that, they completed their higher secondary education (H.S.C.) in Science at Walchand College of Arts & Science from 1989 to 1991. Dr. Suyog completed their secondary education (S.S.C.) at Saint Joseph's High School, Solapur, MS, India, between 1977 and 1989.
