Eugene Fontaine

Eugene Fontaine has extensive experience in the mining and operations sectors, currently serving as Manager of Mine Operations at Suncor since July 2015, where previous roles included Coarse Tailings Operations Manager and Area Manager for Tailings Operations. Prior to Suncor, Eugene held the position of Operations Coordinator for Major Projects at Canadian Natural Resources Limited from March 2012 to July 2015. Additional experience includes working as Operations Maintenance Coordinator at Shell Canada from January 2011 to March 2012, and serving as Shift Team Lead at Shell from June 2008 to January 2010, focusing on the commissioning of JackPine Mine. Eugene's career began at Highland Valley Copper, where tenure as Operations Foreman lasted from September 1997 to May 2008.
