Gyula Gazdag

Gyula Gazdag has a extensive work experience in the film industry. Gyula started their career as a Film Director at MAFILM in 1969 and worked there until 1990. Gyula then joined Színház- és Filmművészeti Főiskola as an Adjunct Faculty from 1985 to 1990, and later became the Chair and Professor from 1990 to 1993. In 1993, they joined UCLA as a Distinguished Professor and also served as the Program Head and Vice Chair of Production at the UCLA Department of Film and TV from 1993 to 1998. Since 1997, Gazdag has been working as the Artistic Director of the Filmmakers Lab at the Sundance Institute.

Gyula Gazdag attended Eötvös József Gimnázium from 1961 to 1965. Gyula then went on to study Directing and Film Production at Színház- és Filmművészeti Főiskola from 1965 to 1970.
