Live Operations Support Lead, Sundance Co//ab at Sundance Institute

Markus L.'s work experience begins in 2002 as a Computer Lab Lead at Campus Village Housing, where they managed the computer lab, provided technical support and training, and supervised the redesign of the community website. Markus also served as chief editor for the community magazine.

In 2006, Markus worked as an Editing and Graphic Design Intern at Tri Destined Studios, where they designed web graphics, updated Flash content, edited promotional videos, and provided quality control for projects.

From 2007 to 2010, Markus worked as a Post Production Supervisor at Imaginaut Entertainment, overseeing all post-production tasks, editing projects, designing print and motion graphics, managing the editorial team, and coordinating with clients and vendors. Markus also designed custom asset management and call sheet generation applications.

Starting in 2012, Markus joined SAG-AFTRA Foundation as a Technical Production Manager, responsible for designing live broadcast programs, editing and broadcasting events, creating print and motion graphics, and tracking program metrics. Markus was later promoted to Senior IT and Production Manager, where they oversaw the national production of OTT content, managed web and mobile application development, and supervised the IT department and theater operations.

Most recently, in 2020, Markus joined Sundance Institute as the Live Operations Support Lead for Sundance Co//ab.

Markus L. attended UC Irvine from 2000 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Studies. Markus also holds additional certifications including the Google IT Support Professional Certificate Specialization from Coursera and the Mental Health First Aid USA certification from the National Council for Behavioral Health, which they received in July 2018.
