Aviv Rotbart

Aviv Rotbart has extensive experience in data science and cybersecurity. Aviv currently works at SundaySky as a Senior Data Scientist, a position they have held since April 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Data Scientist at SundaySky from November 2016 to April 2021.

Before joining SundaySky, Aviv worked at CyberArk as a Senior Algorithms Engineer from May 2015 to September 2016.

Aviv also gained valuable experience during their time at Tel Aviv University, where they were a PhD student from October 2010 to May 2015. Their research focused on high-dimensional data and dimensionality reduction, anomaly-detection, and dictionary learning. Aviv also served as a Teaching Assistant, teaching Discrete Mathematics to engineering and computer science students from October 2014 to March 2015.

In addition, Aviv worked as a Research Fellow in the Cyber-Security Program at INSS Israel from 2012 to 2013. Aviv studied technology and national policy, developing expertise in cyber protection and providing research recommendations to policy makers.

Aviv's prior experience includes working in the Israel Defense Forces, where they held various roles. Aviv served as a Data-Fusion Expert, utilizing ORACLE Data Integrator and IBM MQ Series products to develop real-time systems for data processing and fusion. Aviv also conducted research in computer and software security, focusing on assembly-level software analysis and developing debug tools. Additionally, they worked as an ETL Developer, responsible for developing and testing ETL processes for handling massive amounts of data. Aviv also played a role in the development and maintenance of a decision support system for analysis of intelligence-generated data within the intelligence-production processes. Aviv contributed to the development of a command and control intelligence system as well.

Aviv Rotbart has a strong educational background in computer science and mathematics. Aviv obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University, where they studied from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mathematics at Bar-Ilan University from 2006 to 2010. Aviv also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, which they received from Bar-Ilan University from 2000 to 2003.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Aviv Rotbart has also obtained a certification in "Advanced Predictive Modeling: Mastering Ensembles and Metamodeling" from LinkedIn in January 2021.
