Gil Matalon has a diverse work experience, spanning over several industries. Gil is currently working as the Chief Architect at SundaySky since July 2019. Before that, they were the VP of Engineering at K Health from December 2018 to June 2019.
Prior to these roles, Gil co-founded and built the R&D foundation of a short term statistical arbitrage algo-trading platform called Market Windows Ltd. Gil worked there as the VP R&D from September 2008 to December 2018. During their tenure, they led a team of 6-10 top seniors in agile development cycles, implemented a high-performance trading system, and successfully traded millions of dollars, generating significant profits. Gil also built the infrastructure for a high-performant research environment using Matlab, Java, and Microsoft Azure cloud services.
Before joining Market Windows Ltd, Gil co-founded Agile Approach Ltd. in June 2006, where they served as the Co-founder & CTO. Gil was responsible for managing customer and technical project management and leading an offshore software company in China. The company specialized in rapid project development and served various industries such as e-commerce, security, robotics, and fintech.
Prior to that, Gil worked at Proxy Aviation Systems as a Team Leader from January 2004 to May 2006. Gil was involved in the architectural design and implementation of a unique autonomous UAV system. As one of the first team members, they designed the onboard mission unit and tackled challenges related to distributed communication, flight control, and plugable payloads.
Gil's early career includes their role as a Developer at BVR Systems from November 2001 to January 2004. There, they developed and integrated an in-flight electronic warfare simulation for the IAF Helicopter division. Gil worked on designing and implementing the decision-making engine and mission debriefing ground station using the C++ programming language.

Gil Matalon attended Reichman University from 1998 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
