Brian Rorie

Brian Rorie has extensive experience in the banking and finance industry. Brian started their career as a Staff Accountant at Bank of Kansas City in 1984 and then worked as a Staff Accountant/Auditor at Morgenson, Block & Co. from 1985 to 1988. Brian then became a Vice President at GRA, Thompson White and Co., a boutique CPA firm focused on community banks, where they were responsible for client services for ten banks. Brian joined Union Bank (formerly known as Bannister Bank & Trust) in 1998 as the SVP/Controller, managing the Accounting and Bookkeeping departments and streamlining the regulatory reporting process. In 2003, Brian joined Brotherhood Bank & Trust as the Chief Financial Officer, where they directed multiple departments, chaired the Asset/Liability Committee, and managed the ALCO process. Brian also served as the Director of Operations and Technology in 2009, where they successfully led an effort to install a back counter processing system. Brian then worked as a Consultant at Bank Midwest, where they supported the Controller and assisted with various projects. Brian also served as a Consultant for Core Catalysts, LLC, working as a contractor and providing client-focused services. Brian's most recent position was as the Controller at CrossFirst Holdings, LLC, where they held the role for two years before joining Sunflower Bank as the VP Controller in 2015.

Brian Rorie received their Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where they studied accounting. Brian completed their education at the university from 1980 to 1984.
