Kyler Pratt

Kyler Pratt has a diverse range of work experience in the food industry. From 2018 to present, they have been a R&D Scientist and Pilot Plant Lead at SunOpta. In this role, they are responsible for planning and operating pilot-scale manufacturing equipment to improve innovation, optimize processes, and enhance the company's R&D capabilities. Kyler formulates plant-based foods and works with customers to launch new products and improve quality.

Prior to that, Kyler worked as a Food/Non-Food Technologist at Albertsons from 2016 to 2018. Kyler also served as a Sanitation Supervisor/Night Shift Manager at Hack's Food Safety Specialists in 2016.

From 2013 to 2016, Kyler held multiple positions at Cal Poly Corporation. Kyler was a Production Lead/Team Member for Cal Poly Food Science Products and also served as the Interim Pilot Plant Manager. Additionally, they worked as a Quality, Food Safety, and Organic Integrity Intern at Earthbound Farm in 2014.

Kyler's career in the food industry started as a Student Researcher at the Emerging California Food and Nutrition Institute at Cal Poly in 2013.

Kyler Pratt earned a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 2015. In 2017, Kyler went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Food Science at Kansas State University, completing it in 2019.
