Role:   The Project Manager plays a critical role in our IT department, overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects within scope, budget, and timeline constraints. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing resources, and ensuring project success through effective communication, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, proven project management experience, and a track record of delivering successful technology related projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Lead and manage large-scale technology projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and financial management throughout the project life cycle.
  • Stakeholder Management: Identify project stakeholders and establish communication channels to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources including personnel, budget, and technology infrastructure to support project implementation.
  • Project Monitoring: Tracks project progress according to project plan and identified metrics. Monitors and reports on the status of projects and major barriers encountered. Makes recommendations to steering committee regarding projects scope and related changes required to facilitate a successful outcome
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to best practices through regular reviews and inspections.
  • Communication: Facilitate communication among project team members, stakeholders, and senior management to provide updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
  • Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget through formal change control processes.
  • Issue Resolution: Address project issues and conflicts in a timely manner, escalating as needed to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and change requests.
  • Post-Implementation Review: Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project success, identify lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience with ERP, manufacturing and transformation would be an asset.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Asana).
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems development lifecycle, and software development methodologies.
