Nikola Yager

Nikola Yager is an experienced organizer currently with the Sunrise Movement since December 2018. Prior roles include advocating at the Community Empowerment Fund from August 2016 to June 2018, and volunteering as a statistical analyst with L'Auberge des Migrants in June 2017, as well as serving in a similar capacity at UNICEF from October 2016 to June 2017. Additional experience includes working as a doula at Dar a Luz Doula Birthing Services and completing internships and coordinator roles at Condor Trekkers and 350.org, respectively. Nikola Yager's early career involved writing for LaTeen Magazine and conducting research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where an emphasis was placed on analyzing racial disparities in sentencing related to cocaine-use during pregnancy. An academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy with a concentration in Econometrics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and ongoing studies at the Autonomous University of Social Movements.
