Timothy Polz has a strong background in the renewable energy industry, with extensive experience in development and leadership roles. Timothy started their career in 2004 at Midwest Wind Energy, LLC, where they held various positions including Project Developer, Senior Project Developer, and Vice President and General Counsel. In 2013, they joined Geronimo Energy as Vice President of Development, and in 2015, they moved to SoCore Energy as Vice President of Origination & Development. Currently, they are working at SunVest Solar, LLC as the Senior Vice President of Development and also serves as the Chief Development Officer.

From 1991 to 1995, they attended Kaneland High School, where they did not receive a degree or pursue any specific field of study.
Then, from 1995 to 1999, they enrolled at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences.
Finally, Timothy attended Chicago Kent Law School from 2000 to 2003 and obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree with a specialization in Environmental and Energy Law.
