Mehdi Afshar

Mehdi Afshar is a highly experienced construction professional with a robust background in civil engineering and project management, currently serving as Construction Director at Sunwater since August 2022, where involvement includes significant dam improvement and heightening projects. Previously, Mehdi held the role of Construction Phase Service Lead for the Rookwood Weir Alliance at GHD and has extensive experience with notable firms such as Lombardi Engineering, John Holland, and SMEC-ECCL, contributing to several large-scale hydropower and dam projects worldwide. Mehdi's educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Tehran and a Certificate IV in Work, Health and Safety from CBD College in Australia.
