James Stellar

James Stellar is an accomplished academic and administrator with extensive experience in behavioral neuroscience and higher education leadership. Currently serving as a Professor of Behavioral Neuroscience and Provost at the University at Albany, SUNY, since February 2015, James Stellar also held the position of Interim President. Prior to this, James co-founded and co-directed the WACE Global Institute on Experiential Education, contributing to the development of experiential education programs for around 100 institutions worldwide. James Stellar's previous roles include Professor and Vice President for Academic Innovation at Queens College and various leadership positions at Northeastern University and Harvard University. James Stellar holds a PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Biology from Ursinus College.
