Marcy Buckner

Marcy Buckner is an experienced professional in health policy and advocacy, currently serving as an Adjunct Professor for Health Policy in the MBA in Health Care Administration program at the State University of New York at Oswego since January 2024. Since June 2023, Marcy has held the position of Vice President for Employer Health Policy and Advocacy at AHIP, overseeing policy related to employer-sponsored health insurance benefits. Marcy's extensive background includes roles as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs at NABIP and the National Association of Health Underwriters, where responsibilities included monitoring legislative actions, coordinating advocacy efforts, and representing the organization at health care symposia. Marcy also has experience in state affairs and legal analysis earned through various positions, including the American Occupational Therapy Association and MultiState Associates, Inc. Marcy holds a Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston and a Bachelor of Arts in History, Political Science, and Dance from the College of Charleston.
