Kimmo Niemelä

Kimmo Niemelä has extensive work experience in various industries. Kimmo began their career in 2001 at SRO - Suomen Riskienhallintaosakeyhtiö, where they worked as a Sales Manager, acquiring corporate clients for insurance brokers and participating in the development of business practices. In 2003, they joined MF Group Oy as a Client Broker.

From 2005 to 2006, Kimmo worked at Smart Contact Oy, where they focused on B2B sales. In 2006, they joined Mobnet Oy as a Sales Manager, responsible for consultative sales of information technology solutions, such as information security, and relationship management of business clients.

In 2007, Kimmo joined Elina Pankkiiriliike Oy as a Banker. Their responsibilities included customer relationship management, sales of asset management and investment solutions, and life insurance. Kimmo also organized customer events and acted as a speaker.

From 2011 to 2017, Kimmo worked at Danske Bank as a Senior Personal Banker, specializing in investments. Kimmo provided relationship management services to clients, meeting their financial needs and maximizing income generation through the sale of investment solutions. Kimmo also demonstrated knowledge of the broader economic factors influencing the financial markets.

In 2017, Kimmo joined Human Focus Oy as an Advisor. In this role, they advised the CEO on projects related to organizational leadership, financial calculations, and presentations.

Since 2018, Kimmo has been working at Suomen Asiakastieto Oy as an Account Manager. Kimmo focuses on relationship management of business clients, acquisition of new clients, and consulting C-level executives on credit granting, finance, sales, and procurement transformation processes. Kimmo contributes to product development projects and group strategy workstreams, providing value-added insights.

Furthermore, Kimmo has held various positions in the City of Helsinki. Kimmo currently serves as a Member of The Rescue Services Sub-committee and as a Deputy Member of the Helsinki City Council and Helsinki Audit Committee. Kimmo is also a Board Member of Kiinteistö Oy Parmaajanpuisto.

In addition, Kimmo is involved in political activities as the Chairman of Liike Nyt Helsinki and as a political candidate in the parliamentary election.

Kimmo Niemelä completed their Master of Social Sciences degree in Economics with a major in Economics, and also studied statistics, mathematics, and political science at the University of Helsinki from 2000 to 2006. In 2013, they attended Hanken School of Economics and obtained a CEFA (Certified European Financial Analyst) degree with a focus on Finance. In terms of secondary education, they attended Ressun lukio from 1992 to 1996 and graduated high school. Additionally, they completed a one-year program in Business and Administration Studies at Laurea University of Applied Sciences from 1999 to 2000, although they did not obtain a degree from this institution.
