Niko Humalisto

Leading Advocacy Specialist

Niko Humalisto is a leading professional in advocacy and development economics, currently serving as a leading advocacy specialist and development economy specialist at Felm (Suomen Lähetysseura) since February 2018, focusing on advancing economic sustainability in development cooperation. Previous experience includes a role as a visiting researcher at the Finnish Environment Institute, where research centered on manure politics, and as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Turku, specializing in the governance of renewable energy. Niko has been involved in various organizations, including Friends of the Earth as a change agent and project manager at New Wind Association, with research and campaigning experience at Greenpeace Nordic and Finnwatch.
