Linas Butenas has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 2002, they started their career as a Freelance Web Developer and Consultant, where they worked until 2018. In 2003, they also started working at Vilnius University as an Assistant, later becoming a Lecturer and then Vice-dean at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics. In 2018, Linas founded their own company, Gnaritas, where they served as the Founder and CEO. Linas also co-founded Turing College and held the position of Co-Founder and Head of Education. Linas was involved in the AI and Data Mining field as an expert at ORCA Alliance and played a role as a Board Member at Crypto Economy Organisation. In 2019, they founded Super How? and worked as the Co-Founder and Head of Research and Development. Linas also had roles as the Chief Technical Officer at GoalHUB.net and Chief Technology Officer at CoArt. Linas's most recent position has been as a Blockchain Architect at Sahara Protocol, which they started in 2021. Throughout their career, Linas has demonstrated versatility and an ability to take up leadership positions in technology and education-related organizations.

Linas Butenas began their education in 1997 at Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University, where they earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 2001. Linas then pursued further studies at Aalborg University from 2001 to 2003, earning a Master of Science degree in Computer Science. Following this, they returned to Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University in 2003 to pursue their Ph.D. in Computer Science, which they completed in 2007.
