Heather Cotanch

Heather Cotanch has over a decade of experience in instructional design and curriculum development. Heather began their career in 2006 as a 7th Grade English Teacher for the NYC Department of Education. In 2010, they took on a contract position as a Curriculum Writer/ Assistant Editor for Straight Line Editorial Development. In 2012, they transitioned to UC Berkeley as a Curriculum Developer. In 2013, they worked as an Instructional Designer for Teachscape. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at BrightBytes in two roles: Senior Learning Designer/ Product Innovation Strategist and Learning Designer. Since 2017, they have worked at Flexport as an Instructional Designer & Program Facilitator. In 2021, they joined Superhuman as their Internal Communications & Enablement Lead.

Heather Cotanch received a Master of Science from Bank Street College of Education in Middle School Education, a Master of Science in Education from The City College of New York in Literacy Acquisition & Development in Secondary Education, with honors, a Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University in English & Textual Studies and Secondary English Education, and completed studies in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling at the University of Nevada, Reno.
