Joseph Calvo

Joseph Calvo has over 10 years of professional experience in product design, user experience design and graphic design. Joseph began their career in 2010 as a Graphic Design Intern at Pencilworx Design Group. In 2011, they held roles as an Intern at Hearst Magazines, a Freelance Web Designer at advertising for good, and a Freelance Designer at Care USA. Joseph then became the Owner of Calvo Graphics in 2011. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Web Designer at Carter's, where they partnered with a designer and information architect to redesign the website and design the mobile site. During this time, they also designed several campaigns that spanned across email, advertisements, home pages, landing pages and social media assets. In 2015, they were a Senior User Experience Designer at State Farm, where they worked closely with an agile team of professionals developing innovative and intuitive visual design solutions. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at Tala as a Sr. Product Designer and UI/UX Designer. In 2020, they were a Product Design Manager and Senior Product Designer at Honey. Joseph currently works as a Senior Product Designer at Superhuman since 2021.

Joseph Calvo attended Savannah College of Art and Design from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design. Prior to that, they attended Middle Georgia State University from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained an Associates degree in Art. In October 2015, they obtained a Certified Usability Analyst certification from Human Factors International.
