KaKehai Gage has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. KaKehai started their career in 1999 as a Customer Service Representative at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, where they handled inquiries from providers and beneficiaries within the Medicare program. KaKehai then moved to Electronic Data Systems, where they served as a Member Lock-In Coordinator, responsible for identifying and monitoring utilization patterns of potential fraud in the Medicaid program.

In 2005, Gage joined the Texas Medicaid and Healthcare Partnership, initially working as a Contact Center Research Analyst, resolving escalated inquiries from various state agencies. KaKehai later transitioned to the role of Provider Relations Support Specialist, providing policy and billing education to Medicaid providers. KaKehai also worked as a Provider Relations Communications Specialist, designing and developing education materials for Medicaid providers. In 2008, Gage became a Provider Relations Supervisor, overseeing a team of support specialists and communication specialists.

Gage then joined Superior Health Plan Inc (Centene Corporation) in 2009 as a Provider Relations Internal/External Representative. KaKehai'sresponsibilities included conducting provider visits to provide education on Medicaid Managed Care guidelines and claim submissions requirements. From 2013 to 2015, Gage worked at Cenpatico Behavioral Health as the TX Network Contracting and Provider Relations Manager, managing department workflow and responding to provider escalations.

Since 2015, Gage has been with Superior HealthPlan, where they have held various roles. As a Compliance Specialist, they ensured compliance with state and federal regulations and conducted audits to address non-compliant actions. KaKehai later became a Compliance Manager, overseeing monitoring and auditing activities. In their current role as Director Compliance, Gage is responsible for developing and implementing compliance policies, maintaining contract compliance, and serving as a subject matter expert for managed care requirements.
