Deepa Karunaratne

Deepa Karunaratne is an experienced human resources professional with a robust background spanning over two decades in HR management, strategy formulation, and talent acquisition. Currently serving as the Manager of Human Resources at Exetel since September 2019, Deepa previously held the position of Human Resources Manager at ZILLIONe, focusing on employer branding and performance management systems. Deepa's earlier experience includes serving as Senior HR Manager at CMA CGM Shared Service Centre, where significant accomplishments included the recruitment of over 400 employees and the implementation of HRIS systems. Deepa's foundational HR expertise was further developed over 15 years as HR Manager and Quality Assurance Manager at M. D. Gunasena & Co (Pvt) Ltd. Deepa holds multiple degrees in HR Management and Chemistry from the University of Colombo and the Institute of Chemistry, enhancing a blend of scientific and managerial skills.
