Nicole De La Loza Rivera has extensive experience in various roles related to people development, equity, and inclusion. Nicole is currently the Director of People and Equity at Supermajority. Prior to this, they worked at AppFolio, Inc. as the Manager of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and as the People Development Manager. Nicole also served as a Mentor at SCS Noonan Scholars and held multiple positions at Sanctuary Centers of Santa Barbara, including Director of the Board of Directors. Earlier in their career, Nicole worked at SCS Noonan Scholars as the National Director of Career Partnerships and the Director of Career and Industry Partnerships. Nicole also has experience as a Career Development Manager at the organization. Nicole's experience also includes roles at Downtown Women's Center, where they served as the Workforce Development Manager, and at WomenCraft, where they worked as a Fellow in Capacity Building and Sales. Nicole began their career as an English Professor at Escuela Politecnica Nacional: Centro de Educacion Continua, where they created and implemented English language lessons and developed a curricula database for other professors.
Nicole De La Loza Rivera (she/her) completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from Michigan State University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Nicole later pursued a Master of Arts (MA) in Nonprofit Management from Antioch University between 2013 and 2016. In addition to their formal education, they obtained the Bold Inclusive Training Certification from The Winters Group, Inc. in December 2021, and the Creating Leadership Development Programs certification from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) in December 2019.
