Sherman Tuan

Sherman Tuan is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in the telecommunications and internet sectors. Since December 2003, Sherman has served as an Independent Director at Supermicro. Prior to this role, Sherman founded and led AboveNet from September 2011 to December 2021 and served as CEO of TelTel, a SIP-based VoIP operator, from June 2003 to June 2011. Sherman's entrepreneurial journey began with the founding of AboveNet in January 1996, an Internet Data Center, and previous roles include President of InterNex, an ISDN-based ISP, from November 1993 to November 1995, and Co-Founder & CEO of U-tron Technologies, a manufacturer of PC motherboards and diskless workstations, from August 1986 to July 1992. Sherman began the professional career at Acer, where roles included Sales Engineer, Product Manager, and Vice President of Operations from December 1979 to March 1986.
