Mark Kniffin has a diverse work experience in mechanical engineering. Mark is currently serving as the Director of Mechanical Engineering at Superpedestrian. Prior to this, they worked at Locus Robotics as a Principal Mechanical Engineer, where they led the Mechanical Engineering Group and was responsible for design, development, and production activities for AV robot and charging system products. Mark also served as the Senior Director of Mechanical Engineering at Rethink Robotics and as a Research Leader at Bose Corporation. Mark has a strong background in emerging business development, vibration isolation, motion control mechanisms, and design/analysis. Mark has held various leadership positions throughout their career and has made significant contributions in technical design, motor integration, safety assessment, and documentation rigor.

Mark Kniffin received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University in 1980. Mark then went on to pursue further education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they completed an S.M. Course II in Mechanical Engineering in 1982.
