Mostafa Ghoreyshi, PhD

Principal Simulation Engineer (CFD/FEA) at Supira Medical

Mostafa Ghoreyshi, PhD has worked in the field of turbomachinery and fluid mechanics since 2008. From 2008 to 2012, they were a Research Assistant at Sharif University of Technology and a CFD Analyst Intern at Berkeh Pump Co. In 2012, they began their postdoctoral research at Texas A&M University, where they designed, simulated, and analyzed the Ultra-High Efficiency Gas Turbine Engine (UHEGT). During this time, they also served as a Graduate Research Assistant and developed and completed CFD and 1D/2D dynamic engine simulation models for engine performance in variable design and off-design conditions. In 2015, they worked as a Turbomachinery Engineer Intern at SoftInWay Inc. - Turbomachinery Design, Analysis and Optimization. Since 2018, they have been a Principal Simulation Engineer (CFD/FEA) and Senior Simulation Engineer (CFD/FEA) at Supira Medical, where they are responsible for designing and optimizing cutting-edge multi-stage rotating turbomachinery using computational fluid mechanics simulations consisting primarily of CFD, FEA, and FSI. Mostafa also applies their computational skills and in-depth knowledge of turbomachinery and fluid mechanics combined with programming languages to rotating machinery in order to automate design and optimization workflows for cardiovascular assist devices.

Mostafa Ghoreyshi, PhD has a comprehensive education history. Mostafa obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tehran between 2004 and 2008. Mostafa then went on to obtain their Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology between 2008 and 2011. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University between 2012 and 2018. Additionally, they hold certifications in Data Science, Excel to MySQL: Analytical Techniques for Business Certification, Machine Learning Engineer Nanodegree, and Python Programming from Udacity.
