Lāsma Babāne

Lāsma Babāne has had a varied career since 2012. Lāsma began as a Sales Assistant at Euro Disney Associés SCA in 2012, and then moved on to an Intern position at the French Embassy in Latvia in 2013. That same year, they took on the role of Procurement Coordinator at Cytec. In 2014, they became a Procurement Specialist at Atea Global Services Ltd., and also a Senior Buyer and Buyer at Cabot Corporation. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Merchandising Manager at Supliful. At Cabot Corporation, their responsibilities included procuring of more complex, higher value products and services for Masterbatch production sites in Belgium, negotiating deals and signing contracts, working with internal customers to identify, understand and translate purchasing needs, researching information and developing new cost-effective sources, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services that meet quality, timing and price terms, evaluating supplier performance for Regional or Global purchased items, and leading regional office supplies project across EMEA sites piloting Ariba P2P functions.

Lāsma Babāne has a diverse educational background. Lāsma obtained a Master's degree in Strategic Business Management from RISEBA University in 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in European Business Studies from Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration between 2009 and 2013. Lāsma Babāne also holds a Certificate of General Secondary Education, which they earned from Rīga Secondary School no: 49 in 2009.
