Markku Salin

Markku Salin has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Markku is currently the Head of Development at Supponor since 2019. Prior to that, they worked as the CTO at Remomedi Oy from 2018 to 2019, leading the application development and product management for mobile and web applications. Before that, they were the Head of Research and Development at Mirasys from 2017 to 2018, where they led geographically distributed teams in application development and technical support. Markku also served as the Research and Development Manager at Supponor from 2013 to 2017, managing a team of engineers in developing virtual advertisement technology. Markku was also the Quality Assurance Manager at Supponor from 2011 to 2013, responsible for testing the virtual advertisement system. Prior to that, Markku held various roles in companies like Etteplan Oyj, Commit, SWECO, ZTango S.P.R.L., Ztango, and ABB Power Oy.

Markku Salin obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Media Technology and a Master of Science degree in Automation and Control Technology from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, they also acquired several additional certifications. These include "Peliohjelmoinnin Alkeet Unityllä" from FITech Network University in August 2020, "Machine Learning with Python" from FITech Network University in December 2019, "Occupational Safety Card" from The Centre for Occupational Safety in 2006, "SFS 6002 - Safety at Electrical Work" from SGS FIMKO OY in 2006, and "IPMA Level C - Certified Project Manager" from Projektiyhdistys ry in 2005.
