Jerry M. Sledge

Jerry M. Sledge, CPA has extensive work experience in various industries and roles. Jerry M. is currently the Owner/Managing Director of Supporting Strategies since December 2016. Prior to this, they were the Owner of The Sledge Organization, LLC starting from October 2013.

Jerry's previous experience includes being the Owner of Servpro of Harrisonburg Rockingham County from August 2004 to September 2013, where they built a successful franchise organization in the fire and water damage cleanup and restoration industry. Jerry M. was responsible for negotiating bank financing, leading production and marketing functions, and growing sales from $0 to $1 million.

Before that, Jerry served as the Chief Financial Officer of First Quality Nonwovens from September 2002 to August 2004. Jerry M. was responsible for leading the financial and IT functions and developed a product cost analysis system to support pricing decisions and margin analysis.

Jerry also worked as the Director of Operations at nTelos Inc. from October 1999 to July 2002, where they led the transition during a high-growth phase and developed billing and revenue assurance strategies resulting in annual savings of over $1.5 million.

Additionally, Jerry has experience as an Acquisition Integration Consultant at BBA Nonwovens, Chief Financial Officer at Poly-Bond, Vice-President Operations at Financial Audit Systems, Inc., and Cost/Financial Accountant at Standard Commercial Tobacco Company.

Throughout their career, Jerry has demonstrated their strong financial and operational expertise, as well as their ability to drive growth and achieve financial goals.

Jerry M. Sledge, CPA has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Barton College. Jerry M. also completed the CPA Review program at Duke University. In addition, they have completed approximately 50% of the course requirements for an MBA at East Carolina University. In terms of certifications, they are a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the Virginia State Board for Accountancy and the North Carolina Board of Certified Public Accountant Examiners. Jerry M. also holds various other certifications such as being a Licensed Medicare Supplement and Long-Term Care Agent, a Licensed Life and Accident & Health or Sickness Agent, a Certified Lead-Based Paint Restoration professional, a Certified Applied Structural Drying Technician, a General Contractor Class A in the State of Virginia, a Certified Applied Microbial Remediation Technician, a Certified Water Damage Restoration Technician, and a former General Contractor in the State of North Carolina.
