Steve Barber

Steve Barber has over 25 years of work experience in financial management and accounting. Steve is currently the Owner & Managing Director of Supporting Strategies | Northwest Maryland, where they lead a team that provides outsourced bookkeeping and controller-level services to a diverse range of clients. Prior to this, Steve worked as a Controller at ASCCP, where they performed all accounting functions and implemented accounting and financial controls in accordance with GAAP. Steve also has extensive experience as the VP of Financial Planning & Internal Audit at Access Intelligence, LLC, where they managed budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls for over 100 different domestic and international business units. Steve has also held various financial management roles at Dental Benefit Providers, TPN Register/Thomas Publishing, and Merrill Lynch Asset Management, where they were responsible for restructuring treasury management, implementing accounting policies and controls, and ensuring tax compliance.

Steve Barber attended the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business from 2017 to 2019, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Their field of study during this time is unspecified. Prior to that, they attended Rider University from 1988 to 1992, earning a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
