J.R. Morris has diverse work experience spanning various industries. J.R. currently holds the position of VP Commercial Lending at Arkansas Federal Credit Union, where they specialize in commercial lending solutions. Prior to this, they worked as a Sr. Commercial Lender at the same company.
Before joining Arkansas Federal Credit Union, Morris was employed at First National Bank of Vinita, where they served as an Assistant Vice President and later as a Commercial Loan Officer. In these roles, they leveraged their skills in business management, accounting, education, network administration, and information technology to provide creative solutions for businesses and municipalities.
Morris also has experience in education, having worked as an Instructor at Northeast Technology Center for several years. Additionally, they served as the Director of Information Technology at High Winds Casino, where they oversaw the technical design, implementation, and management of IT resources.
Earlier in their career, Morris worked as a Staff Accountant at Wyatt & Company, Inc. J.R. also pursued a professional baseball career as a Catcher for the San Diego Padres, having been drafted from Northeastern State University.

J.R. Morris' education history includes a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, which they obtained between 2010 and 2012. Prior to that, they earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Northeastern State University from 1993 to 1995. J.R. also studied Accounting at the University of Miami in 1992 and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, where they obtained an Associate of Arts degree, from 1991 to 1992. Furthermore, they took accounting courses at Western Oklahoma State College in 1990 and 1991.
In addition to their academic qualifications, J.R. Morris obtained the Oklahoma Principal Certificate Grades 6-12 from the Oklahoma State Department of Education in February 2014 and the Oklahoma Superintendent Certificate in December 2015.
