Richard Williams has a diverse work experience spanning various software engineering roles and freelance technical writing.

Richard started their career as a Computer Repair Technician at Swamp Fox PC Repair, where they conducted on-site network troubleshooting and performed software and hardware repair.

Richard then worked as a Writing Assistant at Kennesaw State University, providing one-on-one writing instruction and feedback to students and professors.

Richard also worked as a Grant Writer and Business Understudy at Art Gallery 4463.

Later, Richard gained experience as a Freelance Technical Writer, focusing on subjects such as 3D-printing, manufacturing processes, online education courses, and web development technologies.

Moving into software engineering roles, Richard worked as a Software Developer at Tradelogic Corporation, where they worked on Java EE/Swing and C# applications.

Richard then joined ThoughtWorks as a Junior Consultant, refining their understanding of test coverage and utilizing Agile practices such as pair programming and code reviews.

Richard then joined GoHealth as a Software Engineer, working on Java/Spring applications, AngularJS web app, and Groovy/Grails backend. Richard played a key role in the company's growth and demonstrated the ability to quickly pick up new tools and frameworks.

Next, Richard joined Apex Learning as a Software Engineer, maintaining a .NET tutorial delivery platform and building an Angular2 application with a TypeScript/NodeJS/KOA backend. Richard also optimized DynamoDB storage solution for financial savings and contributed to transitioning automated deployment and acceptance testing to AWS.

Currently, Richard is a Software Engineer at Surge – a Catalyte company.

Richard Williams attended Georgia Southern University from 2006 to 2007, where they studied Computer Science with a focus on Information Technology. Richard then transferred to Georgia State University from 2007 to 2008, continuing their studies in Computer Science and Information Technology. In 2010, Richard enrolled at Kennesaw State University and completed their Bachelor's degree in English, with a Professional Writing Minor, in 2012.
