Mark Brentnall

Mark Brentnall has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of medical technology. Mark is currently working as the Technical Director for Surgical Robotics at Surgical Science since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Product Manager at the same company from an unspecified date in 2021 until January 2023.

Before joining Surgical Science, Mark worked at Mimic Technologies as the Director of Program Development from 2018 to 2021. Mark also worked as a Product Manager at Mimic Technologies Inc. from September 2014 to March 2018.

Mark also has experience working at Physio-Control, Inc. as a Sr. Systems Engineer from September 2013 to September 2014.

Mark began their career at SuperSonic Imagine, where they held various roles including Clinical and Sustaining Systems Engineer from August 2011 to September 2013, Systems and NPI Engineer from February 2010 to August 2011, and R&D Engineer from October 2007 to February 2010. As an R&D Engineer, they were responsible for system engineering, integration, risk analysis, and validation testing, as well as the design and development of an MRI-compatible active cooling system.

Prior to their work at SuperSonic Imagine, Mark worked as an Engineering Consultant at Brentnall Consulting Services from January 2007 to September 2007.

Mark began their career at Therus Corporation as a Development Engineer from October 2000 to December 2006, where they managed the Acoustics Lab and performed various measurement activities for preclinical and clinical trials, including test verification and EMC testing.

Mark Brentnall has a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Washington, which they obtained in 2013. Prior to this, they completed their Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Bioengineering and Medical Device Design, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego. In 2017, they also obtained certifications in Build, Focus, and Foundations from Pragmatic Marketing.
