Ben Stern has extensive experience in the aerospace industry, currently serving as Vice Chair and Chair of the Earth Observation Committee at UKspace since January 2022. Ben has been with Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) since 2005, holding various positions including Key Account Manager for UK Institutional and Senior Bid Manager, while also managing business development efforts in Latin America and South East Asia. Prior to SSTL, Ben worked as a Stress Engineer at Airbus from 2002 to 2005, focusing on the design analysis of spacecraft structures and propulsion systems. Ben began a career with DuPont from 2000 to 2002 as a Mechanical Design Engineer, contributing to engineering analysis for special projects.
