Kyle McKillop

Kyle McKillop is an experienced educator currently serving as a Secondary Literacy Helping Teacher for Surrey Schools since October 2009, focusing on enhancing literacy learning across various educational contexts. As a Lead Learner at an inner city high school, McKillop has contributed to professional development and curriculum innovation. In addition to teaching English language arts, McKillop facilitates workshops for educators on topics such as assessment and self-regulation across several districts. A published poet, McKillop's work has appeared in numerous literary journals and anthologies, with two chapbooks released. McKillop's educational background includes a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Education in Secondary English from Simon Fraser University.
